Match Report
SWP RFC v BRYNCETHIN RFC
After a few Saturdays with fixtures disrupted by the weather it was back to League action for the visit of Bryncethin to a sunny Waterton Cross.

As in recent weeks putting a team together proved a challenge and thanks must go to Keith Miles for his efforts and patience in this regard. There were new faces in Danny Thorne at full back and Lee Sims in the centre and returns for Lee Roderick and Cory Evans.
The early pressure was all with the visitors in terms of territory and possession and although struggling to make any concerted attacks a brave Police defence held out for 21 minutes before Bryncethin scored their first try to make it 0-5. This opened the floodgates and by half time the visitors had scored 4 tries and two conversions to lead 0-24. The Police cause was not helped by a yellow card and a series of injury substitutions.
The Police fared no better in the second half as Bryncethin scored another 7 tries and three conversions to make the final score 0-69 the biggest reverse of the season. However that said there was no shortage of effort from the Police just beaten by a bigger, better drilled side who displayed the benefits of training and working together.
